About
In 1962 Portraits by LaVerne was started in Rock Island, Illinois. From there the studio was moved to Aledo, Illinois. After the military, which put Portraits by LaVerne out of business temporarily, it was started up again as a home business. Then a move to Florida changed the location of Portraits by LaVerne once again. Portraits by LaVerne was established in Orlando, Florida in 1991 and has been photographing humanity there ever since. Portraits by LaVerne has been involved in some form of digital photography since 1994. The switch to total digital was made in 2001.

Mission Statement:
At Portraits by LaVerne we are photographers of humanity. Our main goal is to capture a person’s true essence, and embellish their best attributes. We use our cameras to record reality but at the same time subdue unpleasing attributes. We strive to make women more glamorous, men more masculine, children cuter, and weddings very romantic. We would be honored to photograph you or your family at the next opportunity.
